Pillar I

One World
Religion.

A shared interfaith ethical framework. Not uniformity. Not forced conversion. A common moral minimum that protects the dignity of every human being.

What it is.

The Hiyat Peace Coalition envisions a shared interfaith ethical framework that seeks to identify and promote shared moral values across Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and other faiths.

This framework emphasizes mutual respect, the rejection of hatred and incitement, and the protection of freedom of conscience. It is a project of convergence on the moral common ground that already exists between the great Abrahamic and other religious traditions.

It is not a syncretic religion. It is not a replacement for any existing faith. It is the political and ethical commitment to live together well.

Mutual respect

Each tradition is recognized in its own integrity, without ranking or compromise of its doctrinal core.

Rejection of hatred and incitement

Public discourse, education, and preaching are held to a baseline of dignity. Incitement is a violation of the framework.

Freedom of conscience

Every individual retains the right to hold, practice, change, or decline any religious belief.

Protection of holy sites

Existing religious heritage is preserved in its location, form, and custodial authority.

What it is explicitly not

Three hard limits.

Not forced conversion

No individual may be compelled, pressured, or incentivized to abandon their faith.

Not erasure of identity

No religious community loses its name, its history, its sacred places, or its self-understanding.

Not doctrinal suppression

Theological disagreement is not eliminated β€” it is held within an ethical minimum of mutual respect.

A world free from religious oppression.

The ultimate goal of the interfaith pillar is to dismantle systems of religious oppression, to protect the freedom of every human being to believe, practice, and worship β€” or not β€” without fear, discrimination, or coercion.
